2.2.10 கள்வா

கள்வா எம்மையு மேழுலகும்,
நின் னுள்ளேதோற்றிய இறைவா என்று,
வெள்ளேறன்நான்முக னிந்திரன்வானவர்,
புள்ளூர்திகழல் பணிந்தேத்துவரே.

பதம் பிரித்தது:

கள்வா! எம்மையும் ஏழுலகும் நின்
உள்ளே தோற்றிய இறைவ!’ என்று
வெள்ளேறன் நான்முகன் இந்திரன் வானவர்
புள்ளூர்தி கழல் பணிந்து ஏத்துவரே.

பொழிப்புரை

வெண்மை நிறம் பொருந்திய இடபத்தை வாகனமாகவுடைய சிவனும் பிரமனும் இந்திரனும் மற்றைத் தேவர்களும், ‘கள்வனே! எங்களையும் மற்றை உலகங்ளையும்  நின்னிடத்தினின்றும் தோன்றச்செய்த இறைவனே!’ என்று, கருடவாகனத்தையுடைய இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளை வணங்கித் துதிப்பார்கள்

Transliteration:
kaLvA yemmayu mEzhulagum nin
nuLLE thotriya iRaivAvendRu
veLLEra nAnmuga nindhiran vAnavar
puLLOr thikkazhal paNinthEthuvarE!

Translation:
“Conman! You Ruler, who held us with the cosmos under thy cover”
so claim the Angels, the Ox Rider,
the Ruler of the heaven and the Maker.
The feet of the one, perched on a bird, they bow and flatter!
